Pittman Charged after Stolen Tools are Found at his Home

An Eagle Bend man is facing three felony charges after authorities say stolen power tools were found at his home following a burglary at a rural Eagle Bend property.

Tyler John Pittman, 26, is charged with third-degree burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.

According to the criminal complaint, a Todd County sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of stolen power tools on July 14. The property owner told deputies he discovered all of his DeWalt power tools and chainsaws were missing from a detached machine shop when he went to work on farm equipment that morning. He told investigators the tools had last been seen on the evening of July 12.

Later that day, the victim found what appeared to be his stolen tools listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace under Pittman’s name...
