Pursuit in Long Prairie
On March 5, at 1:42 a.m., a Todd County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding and driving in the opposite lane in the city of Long Prairie.
The vehicle fled and led deputies and the Long Prairie Police Department on a short pursuit. A deputy conducted a pursuit intervention maneuver and stopped the vehicle on 1st Avenue North by the Cenex gas station.
The driver, Nelson Valdez-Rodriguez, was subsequently arrested and booked for DWI and fleeing in a motor vehicle.
Charges are pending with the County Attorney’s Office. . .
