Raiders Finish Third at Park Region Conference Meet

The Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale Raider boys track and field team competed in the Park Region Conference Meet on Tuesday, May 12, in Sebeka. Hosted by United North Central, the Raiders finished third out of eight teams with 92 points. Pillager claimed the conference title with 154 points.

The Raiders turned in a strong performance despite competing without senior Dylan Day, who was sidelined due to injury.

Brady Rach led the way for the Raiders with conference titles in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs. Gunnar Barthel added a third-place finish in the 800 meters, while Jakub Stovicek placed fifth in the same event.

In the distance races, Henry Lockwood captured first place in the 3200-meter run, and Nolan Rach added a third-place finish. Brady Rach also earned a runner-up finish in the long jump.

The Raiders also had success in the hurdle events. Tristan Adams placed second in the 300-meter hurdles and fifth in the 110-meter hurdles, while Jayden Herner added a sixth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles...
