Raiders lose to Pine River Backus 5 -3
The Raiders started the week by traveling to Pine River to play the Tigers, the top team in the Section. The Raiders lost the game by a score of 3 -5.
Kole Weishalla started on the hill for the Raiders, throwing all 6 innings allowing two earned runs and striking out 6. We pitched well enough to win but a couple of unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth proved costly. Also, the Raiders only managed six singles scattered through 7 innings of ball while striking out nine times.
Hopefully, our bats will start heating up for the playoff run. Hitting stats include: Hinzmann 1-4, C. Schmitz 1-3, Mitchell 1-3, Rach 2 -3, Schulke 1-2.
The Raiders also hosted the Menahga Braves for a double Header losing both games 3-7 and 3-6. . .
