Raiders Track Earns Top Marks at Perham Invitational

The Raider girls’ track and field team traveled to Perham on Tuesday, April 14, to compete in their annual invitational. Facing a competitive field that included several larger schools, the Raiders placed sixth out of 10 teams, continuing to show their ability to contend at a high level early in the season.

The meet featured a number of strong individual performances. Kendra Miller led the way with a first-place finish in the 3200-meter run, crossing the line in 11:45.98. Teammate Mckayla Kapphahn also scored in the event, earning third place with a time of 13:55.49. Piper Dean contributed in multiple events, placing third in the high jump (4’10”) and sixth in the 400-meter dash (1:06.86), showcasing her versatility.

Additional scoring came from Aulani Johnson, who placed third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.28, and Danika Wilhelmi, who finished sixth in the 800-meter run in 2:31.58. The Raiders’ efforts across both distance and sprint events highlighted a well-rounded team performance...
