Teammates and parents rallied around Jill Pontius after she scored her 1000th point last week in the tournament. Jill is pictured on the far left with the balloons. The Rebels won the game 68-37 in the first round of section tournament play.

On Tuesday, February 24, we ended our regular season play against a very tough Verndale team. We were ready and well-prepared for a tough game. The game started out slow for both teams as both were tough on the defense. We held our own early as the first quarter went by. The final score was 47-71. The first half was the major difference in the game.

March 14, 1957

An official announcement from the Eagle Bend High School stated that Drusilla Heldt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heldt, and Sharon Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Olson, have been named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the graduating class of 1957.
