News from Eagle Bend's Past

July 8, 1998

For the past year a group of Eagle Bend citizens have been working on a land use plan for the city. Last month, a 36 page report was presented to the city council along with a map. The map and plans are the committee’s recommendations for use of the city’s square mile of land. Next Monday night, the council will hold a public hearing for the citizens to review the report and make comments on the plan. The purpose of the plan is to help the city make decisions in the future about zoning and future use of the land. It will serve as a guide for the direction of further growth and development of the city.
