The Eagle Bend City Council faced two big issues at their meeting last Monday. First they were faced with the resignation of Police Chief Ryan VanDenheuvel. The council will advertise for a full-time police officer or have the sheriff’s department cover the town on a permanent basis.

Pebble Beach is one of the world’s most popular golf courses. Unfortunately, at around $500 a person to golf the meticulous course, it is not affordable as well as the fact the course is in California. The Unlimited Video Center, now The Unlimited Video and Golf has changed that. Now you can putt around Pebble Beach at a reasonable price and still make it home in time for supper. Owners Rich and Diane Buchta received the new indoor golf simulator a short time ago.

The Eagle Bend Lions held their first Ice Car Races last Sunday. Because of other commitments, several cars scheduled to race weren’t able to make it.
