The Eagle Bend City Council met in a short session on Monday, April 19. They readily agreed to accept $2500 from the Firemen’s Relief Gambling Association to be used towards the Eagle Bend Summer Festival. They also accepted a bid from David Dehn, Triple D Construction to redo the sidewalk along Bisel’s store this summer. His bid was $6474.

Staples Art Show winners included RaeAnn LaVeau, third place; Joe Pudwill, merit; Matt Harren, first place; Crystal Hess, merit; Emil Lind, merit; and Brett Perish, merit.
50 Years Ago
April 25, 1974
The newly rejuvenated Commercial Club of Eagle Bend will sponsor their first annual potato pancake and sausage supper. It will be held on Friday, April 26, with serving from 5-9 p.m. It will be held in the Eagle Bend School cafeteria.

The Seventh Congressional District Democratic Farmer-Labor Convention will be held on April 27 and 28 at the Fergus Falls Junior College.
