The Eagle Valley Sports Boosters sponsored a trip for the girls summer basketball program to the Minnesota Lynx WNBA game at Target Center. There were 37 kids from Verndale, Browerville and Eagle Valley invited to a clinic on the Target Center floor and they were able to get some autographs from some players and coaches before the game. The kids also were able to participate in pre-game and timeout activities.

Louis Gramsey of Eagle Bend is starting a new business. It will be a mini self storage facility in Eagle Bend. There will be seven stalls 10x24. “Anything that is not illegal or anything that will not blow up, we will store,” said Gramsey. The Red Shed will be open for storage by September 1.

August 28, 1975
The Eagle Bend Degree of Honor, Lodge No. 143, had a surprise party after their regular August meeting. Martha Roach was the surprised honored member. Our appreciation for her years of willing work was shared in presenting Martha with a lovely carnation corsage and a beautifully trimmed birthday cake, helping her celebrate her seventy-third birthday.

The Central Todd County Care Center Committee took its second step in the development of the care center retirement complex today when its chairman, Harlan Dixon, forwarded the required application for a Certificate of the Need to the Central Minnesota Comprehensive Health Planning Council at St. Cloud.
