Ask someone on the streets of Eagle Bend who Danny Smith is and you would probably get a handful of different answers ranging from Stretch the rodeo clown to owner of Eagle Valley Computers to assistant Rebels football coach. Smith enjoyed them all and is good at all of them. Another thing he is good at is ministering to youth. He interviewed and accepted a position up north as youth minister, before he and his wife Annie and their son Justin could talk about it. They prayed on it and Danny felt the bond with the youth and the citizens of this community was hard to break, and he decided to stay.

Stacie Warren has been excited for some time now to start a daycare. “I’ve been waiting to get this started for about a year,” she said, excitement brimming in her voice because now Warren’s Colorworld Daycare is a reality. Stacie officially opened her daycare on Wednesday, November 1.

November 20, 1975
Members of the Eagle Bend FFA Chapter attended the National FFA Convention in Kansas City, Missouri, last week where they received special recognition for the chapter’s achievement in the National FFA Safety Award program. The chapter was one of 92 Safety Award winners that received special recognition at a banquet held in their honor last Tuesday evening. The banquet was hosted by Farm and Industrial Equipment Institute, and Dow Chemical U.S.A., sponsors of the National FFA Safety Award program through the National FFA Foundation. Inc.

Private Randy J. Harnack, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Harnack of Eagle Bend, is receiving eight weeks of military police training at Ft. McClellan, Alaska.
