Spotlight on Scholarship Gold award winners—to receive the Gold award, a student must be involved in a MSHSL activity in that season (football, volleyball or cheer leading), be a member of the Varsity or JV team and must have a GPA from 3.6 and up. The Eagle Valley boys basketball team lost at home to Royalton 36-21 last Tuesday night. Both teams played tough defense all night long. The Royals zone was the tougher defense, however, as they held Eagle Valley to 19% shooting from the field. Defensively, in the second quarter, the Rebels were tough. Austin Murch, JJ Korfe, and Jacob Lunemann combined for five blocked shots in that quarter with one of Murch’s blocks on 6’8” Doug Lenz.

The Eagle Bend matmen pulled off a big upset in Prairie Conference wrestling last Friday night as they stopped conference favorite Osakis 27-25.

The Eagle Bend Commercial Club today announced that until further notice all Eagle Bend stores will close on Saturday nights at 5:30 p.m.
