A large crowd turned out for the customer appreciation dinner which was provided by Hess Equipment in Eagle Bend to celebrate 25 years in business.

According to Liz Westergren, the Eagle Bend Area Development Corporation’s March 28 meeting was used to make sure everyone is “on track with their assignment for the Nelson Park Block Party.” The fundraiser, with the proceeds earmarked for the developed of the recreational park, will be held Saturday, April 21, at the Eagle Bend School.

April 8, 1976
The Eagle Bend FFA participated in the District Poultry contest held recently in Little Falls. The local poultry team placed fifth out of 11 schools. Little Falls took first place with 761 points. Second place was Verndale with 747 points. Eagle Bend’s fifth place score was 730.5. The local poultry team consisted of Mark Kern, Rolland Farrell, Lindy Reierson and Steve Weishair, with Kim Meemkin, local alternate.

Eagle Bend finished sixth among eight teams in the first ever Prairie Conference indoor track meet held last Saturday at St. John’s University. Swanville won the meet with 114 points, followed by Osakis with 68, Browerville 58.5, Brooten 43, Grey Eagle 37.5, Eagle Bend 28.5, Clarissa 23.5 and Upsala 17.
