There’s something new in the agricultural department at the Eagle Valley High School. A computer lab has been added, and stocked with a half dozen shiny new iMac computers and related equipment. The new computer lab fulfills the dream of Instructor Curt Gjerstad to implement modern technology into his classes.

Pictured, these students traveled to Brainerd on April 4 for a regional ag contest and will go on to state competition in St. Paul. The Ag Sales team placed second in the competition and consisted of Carly Maland, Katy Denny, Jackie Schultz and Jana Hierl. Third place Dairy Products team consisted of Beth Ahrens, Jesse Wildman and Stacy Berg. First place Dairy Judging team included Amanda Eblen, Sonja Stoterau, Clayton Krause, Mark LaVoie and Matt Harren.

April 29, 1976
Four students from Eagle Bend High School participated in Bemidji State University’s annual mathematic contest on April 10. Tom Murch, Jim Murch, Becky Hammond and Bev Johnson, accompanied by their advisor, Miss Lowth, traveled to the event located on BSU’s campus.

Eagle Bend Sophomore Dave Johnson placed second in the Minnesota State A.A.U. Wrestling Tournament at Columbia Heights on April 10. Johnson was wrestling at 90 pounds in the senior Jr. Olympics division.
