September 1, 2001, will be a milestone for Jeanne Kae Simar, Eagle Bend. She will have completed 29 years in the food service department at the Shady Lane Nursing Home in Wadena. The hallway in her home is lined with certificates she earned from various night school classes, including cake decorating, food service preparation, sanitation and more. When she’s not working, you will find Jeanne Kae in her home kitchen, baking and decorating cakes, from sheet cakes to wedding cakes or whatever people request.
