Ruby's Pantry Ceases Operations

Ruby’s Pantry has informed communities it served that they will cease operations effective immediately. In a statement, they shared the decision comes after several months of working on alignment efforts aimed at better meeting community needs while focusing on operational effectiveness.
Ruby’s Pantry, which has served communities in Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin for over 20 years, has been a cornerstone for food assistance.
The organization began with a single blessing box and expanded to distribute food through numerous locations, including local areas of Staples, Menahga, Perham, Alexandria, Brainerd and Sauk Centre, among the many locations.
In the past year alone, Ruby’s Pantry distributed more than 242,000 bundles of food, representing approximately 34 million pounds of food, and engaged over 17,500 volunteers annually...
