Rural Wadena residents found deceased in their home

On April 29, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of two adults who were found deceased at a residence in rural Wadena, within Otter Tail County. The sheriff’s office believes it to be an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the public. Assisting the sheriff’s office was the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Names are being withheld at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
Update:
**UPDATE: 05/02/2022 at 3:45 P.M** After further investigation, the incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. 25 year old Isaac Malone, shot and killed his wife, 25 year old Ariel Malone, at their residence in Compton Township, rural Wadena, within Otter Tail County. Isaac Malone then took his own life. Autopsies completed by Midwest Medical Examiners Office. MN BCA is assisting with the investigation.
