Steinmetz honored as EMT of the year

“I have a lot of stories I could tell, but those will have to wait until I retire,” said Thomas “Tom” Steinmetz with a laugh. Steinmetz was recently given his award for being selected as the 2020 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) of the year for the VFW.

“They couldn’t do the award when I first received it in May because of COVID-19,” explained Steinmetz.

During the Veterans Day program held at the Browerville Vets Club on November 11, the award was presented to Steinmetz.

So how is it that Steinmetz was awarded the honor of being recognized by the VFW State Safety Committee who made the selection of Steinmetz for EMT of the year?

The Browerville VFW Post 8391 and Auxiliary submitted Steinmetz for this award. . .
