Struggles in Turnovers Cost Tigers First Two Games

The Tigers opened their season at home in a beautiful, brand-new facility against the Cardinals from Staples Motley. Due to low numbers, the Cardinals were only able to bring 10 girls, so it was just a varsity competition. The Tigers came out on fire and jumped to a quick 8-1 lead. After that, scoring the basketball proved to be a lot more difficult for the Tigers, as that was their only lead of the night. The Cardinals shot the ball very well and forced a lot of turnovers from the Tigers. Final score from the home opener was 40-63 in the Cards’ favor.
