The boys played at the Headwaters Golf Club in Park Rapids on Friday, May 2. This was a very large tournament with 20 teams (115 individuals). It was 37 degrees and a cold 20 mph wind. It was very cold to start!
Carter White started off with a bogey. (A bogey is a score of one stroke over par for a hole.)
He was fighting for pars in the beginning. He had a couple birdies (a birdie means you completed a hole one stroke under par) and another bogey in his first 9 to start even par.
He suffered another bogey on the 12th hole but then birdied 3 out of the last 5 holes. He won the tournament by 2 strokes with a -2, 70.
Jackson White played pretty consistent over the day.
He had some great par saves when it looked like it would likely be a bogey off the tee....
