On Sunday, December 5, at approximately 5:10 p.m., the Minnesota State Patrol responded to and investigated a three vehicle crash on Highway 10.

A Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Melody Loe, 64, of Anoka, was westbound on Highway 10. Loe lost control, spun out and struck an eastbound Toyota Highlander, driven by Brian Bailey, 42, of New Hope. Another vehicle, a Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Julia Jones, 40, of St. Paul, was eastbound behind the Highlander and ended up sideswiping the Highlander after the initial crash.

All occupants involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts and there were no injuries requiring transport.

Loe was cited for “duty to drive with due care.”

The State Patrol was assisted by the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, Wadena Police Department, Wadena Fire and Tri-County Ambulance.
