Tigers Wrap Up Regular Season
The Tigers had the weekend to rest, and were able to enjoy the day off from school on Monday, February 16th, before hosting the Johnnies from St. John’s Prep. The Tigers came out ready to go and scored the first 14 points before the Johnnies would get their first bucket. The rest of the first half’s scoring belonged to the Tigers, as 7 girls chipped in, and they went into halftime with a 35-2 lead. The scoring continued in the second half with 11 total tigers chipping in to help with the scoring.
On Tuesday, the Tigers were back in action against the Panthers from Parkers Prairie. Once again, the Tigers came out and played very well defensively and rebounded very well. Feeling the effects of a few Tigers missing in action for illness, the Tigers played very well for the first 16 minutes of the first half, but some foul trouble and some tired legs allowed the Panthers to go into the half with a 12-point lead. The Tigers continued to battle for most of the second half, but the Panthers would eventually stretch the lead and come away with a 61-40 lead. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Lydia Stearns with 12, Raylann Morgan with 10, and Lydia Reed with 8. Rebounding well for the Tigers were: Lydia Reed with 13 rebounds, and Lydia Stearns with 10.
On Thursday, the Tigers finished out their regular season with a road trip to Sebeka.
Leading scorers for the Tigers were Raylann Morgan with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Quinn Lais chipped in 9 points, and Lydia Reed chipped in 10 rebounds...
