Tigers Display Depth and Talent at True Team Track and Field Meet

The Browerville Tigers turned in a strong all-around performance Thursday at the True Team Track and Field Meet in Frazee, highlighted by standout efforts on the girls’ side and several personal bests across the board.
Sophomore sprinter Brooke Perish led the Tigers with a pair of top-six finishes. Perish placed fifth in the girls’ 100-meter dash in 13.32 seconds and added a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.26. Claire Perish also scored well for Browerville, taking ninth in the 100 meters in 13.57 and 12th in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 8¼ inches.
The Tigers were especially strong in the throwing events. Raylann Morgan captured the girls discus title with a winning throw of 106-7 and later added an eighth-place finish in the shot put at 31-5. Lydia Stearns contributed key points in both events, placing 19th in discus and 14th in shot put, while also recording a personal-best clearance of 4-2 in the high jump.
In hurdles competition, Quinn Lais delivered one of Browerville’s top finishes of the day by taking eighth in the girls’ 300-meter hurdles in 55.02. Emma Asmus added points in multiple events, including 19th in the 100-meter hurdles, 22nd in the 300-meter hurdles, and 14th in the triple jump. Seventh grader Isabella Asmus competed in both hurdle and triple jump events for the Tigers...
