Tigers Fall Short in Hard-Fought Battle against Maple Lake

The Irish from Maple Lake traveled to Browerville last Wednesday night with a 5 - 2 record. As a coaching staff you hope by the end of the year you are playing your best football and your team has come together to trust each other in what their job on and off the field is. This group of young men has done that. We are not the biggest, we are not the strongest, and we are not the fastest team in our league but we have grown to trust each other in that each of us will do our job to the very best of “MY” ability.

For the second week in a row we knew we had to rely on assignment football and take care of what “I” can control. We relied on the guy next to me to do the same thing and believed the next play was going to be better than the last play. In the end we held on for a very hard fought 12 - 6 victory vs a good Irish team that wanted to pound the ball and wear you out...
