Tigers finish week 2-2

The Browerville/Eagle Valley softball team played four more games last week, with a pair of conference games sandwiched by a couple of non-conference opponents.

The Tigers opened the week by heading to Pine River for a game with the Pine River-Backus Tigers. The B/EV offense scored ten runs in the first three innings and never looked back as they would win by a final of 12-6.

Seniors Madison Browen (2 hits) and Allison Cebulla (3 hits, 5 RBI) led the way offensively while Sophomore Bristol Bruder and Freshman Samantha Irlbeck combined to throw all 7 innings.

On Tuesday, the Tigers hosted Swanville in a Prairie Conference matchup against the undefeated Bulldogs.

Swanville jumped out early and fended off a late Tigers rally to defeat B/EV by a final of 7-10.

Sophomore Elsie Puck led the offensive charge with three hits, while Bruder and Cebulla each had two hits....
