Tigers have a busy week plus another coming

by Coach Jeni Burns

The Tigers opened up a very busy stretch of games with a long trip up to Pine River-Backus.

The JV was able to come out with a great team win, with lots of minutes being played by all members of the team.

The varsity came out and immediately felt the pressure of PRB. The Tigers were able to settle in and break through the press and find a way to get to the line to hit some free throws.

But the defensive pressure of PRB continued to wear down the Tigers and they were able to score some easy baskets in transition to build on their lead and continue to spread the gap down the stretch to come away with the easy win.

Leading the scoring for the Tigers was Madison Wendel with 13 including going 6/7 from the line.

On Thursday the Tigers hosted the Silverstreaks from Osakis in a Prairie Conference match up.

The Streaks came in undefeated in Conference play.

The JV again was able to get a win before the varsity game got under way....
