Verndale Cross Country Gives Strong Performance at Long Prairie Invitational

On Monday, September 8, the Verndale cross country team participated in the Long Prairie Invitational.  It was a great day for a race, with a couple of sprinkles towards the end to help cool things down.  This meet offers three different distances for kids to complete. The Junior High team ran a 3.2k run (2 miles), Junior Varsity ran a 4k run (2.5 miles), and Varsity ran the 5k (3.1 miles)

Running the Junior High girls’ race was Heta Tervola-Hultberg, finishing with a time of 19 minutes 31 seconds.  Sawyer Mayer ran in the JH boys race, completing the course with a time of 13 minutes 48 seconds...
