Verndale School Board: Regular business covered during brief meeting

The Verndale School Board held their regular meeting on October 3. Superintendent Jeannie Mayer appeared via Zoom. Board Member Shyla Hess was absent.

Administrative Reports

Greg Johnson, activities director and dean of students, reported the new Hudl cameras are installed. Playoffs begin soon: football begins October 25, volleyball October 27 and cross country October 28.

Principal Katie Bolland shared that some juniors and seniors attended a college fair in Wadena on September 28. All the new teachers are involved in Sourcewell’s new teacher academy. Pirates postcards are going out regularly.

Discussed crosswalk duty, such as using honor society members as volunteer hours or training the fifth and sixth grade.

They are currently fully staffed right now for their needs.

Superintendent Jeannie Mayer will be bringing coffee for staff on Wednesday to show appreciation. . .
