Verndale XC Team Excels at Section 6A Meet

On Tuesday, October 14, the Verndale Pirates cross-country team competed at the Park Region Conference meet, hosted by Otter Tail Central and held at Balmoral Golf Course.  We were greeted with cold, rainy conditions, but overall, the Pirates rose to the occasion and ran well.

The meet started with the Varsity Girls.  Running for Verndale was Angelica Arroyo, completing the course in a time of 27 minutes and 53 seconds, followed closely by Heta Tervola-Hultberg finishing with a time of 27 minutes and 56 seconds, then Hailey Horn completing the course in 28 minutes and 31 seconds, and Milauna Mensinger finishing with 32 minutes and 29 seconds...
