Volunteers Get Appreciated and a Few Surprises, Too

The Annual Todd County Council on Aging Volunteer Recognition, Training, and Monthly Meeting was held Saturday, April 11, at the Clarissa Ballroom, with approximately 75 volunteers and guests in attendance.

The day began with a pop-up volunteer fair featuring several local agencies. Morning entertainment was provided by the musical group Homemade Jammin, a bluegrass, folk, old-time, and campfire sing-along band. Their performance was sponsored by the Great River Regional Library (Eagle Bend and Staples branches) and the Minnesota Legacy Foundation. In the afternoon, Todd County Chaplain David Greaver also performed for attendees as they prepared to enjoy a game of bingo...
