The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on September 7.

Marketing Campaign

Deana Malone, planning and zoning, explained that Sourcewell is offering a matching grant opportunity. The community marketing project committee came up with ways to market the county to attract people to the area.

They are looking at $10,000 for professional photography, graphic design, printed materials, web design and more.

The campaign will provide $2500 of the $5000 needed for the grant. The Todd-Wadena Electric Co-op is providing $1000. Malone asked for $2500 from the county for the grant match.

Commissioner Murlyn Kreklau said they have been wanting to do this for a while. They had looked for a graphic design intern but nobody applied.

The $2500 and applying for the grant were approved. . .
