Wadena County Commissioners: County will not fly new state flag, Keppers resigns

The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 21.
County Won’t Fly New
State Flag
Minnesota’s new state flag became official on May 11. While state agencies have to fly the new flag, County Administrator CJ Holl explained that the county does not, according to direction from AMC. Following the commissioners’ earlier recommendation and citizen feedback, Holl recommended flying the POW/MIA flag instead to honor the veterans.
County Attorney Kyra Ladd explained that they need to talk to the court administration to see who is in charge of replacing the seals and flags in the court. Commissioner Bill Stearns said that legally the county has to provide space for the court but not their paraphernalia, which would fall to the court. Holl will talk with the court administration....
