Wolves are Runners-Up in Section 6A

The Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Wolves put together a strong postseason showing at the Section 6A Team Tournament on Friday, February 13, competing at Bertha-Hewitt School and advancing all the way to the championship dual before falling in a tightly contested final.

The Wolves opened the tournament with a decisive 51-17 victory over Pelican Rapids in the quarterfinal round. Hayden Hiebert got LPGE rolling at 107 pounds with a win by fall, while Zander Katterhagen dropped a tough tech fall at 114. Hunter Katterhagen answered with a pin at 121, followed by Bennelli Johnson winning by forfeit at 127. Evan Flan added a decision at 133, and Brodie Pachan collected a forfeit at 139. JP Buntjier earned a decision at 145, while Jacob Hildago took a loss by fall at 152. Tate Strom secured a decision at 160, Logan Thom pinned his opponent at 172, and Drew Sudbeck followed with a fall at 189. Tommy Miron won by forfeit at 215, and heavyweight James Zimmerman closed the dual with a loss by fall...
