The Pirates got the season started with a win by a score of 62-60. The Pirates had three players collect double-doubles on the night. Bryce Pickar had 21 points and 11 rebounds. Pirates Season Comes to an End after Heated Battle with Nevis

by Coach Heidi Brandsma On Tuesday, October 14, the Verndale Pirates cross-country team competed at the Park Region Conference meet, hosted by Otter Tail Central and held at Balmoral Golf Course. Pirates Sunk by Ogilvie's Ground Game
The Verndale Pirates battled hard on the road Tuesday night but came up short against Ogilvie, falling 24–12. Cardinals Overpower Pirates in High-Scoring Battle
The Verndale Pirates put up a strong fight but ultimately fell to Cromwell-Wright, 56-28, in a high-scoring matchup on Friday night, October 17.
