Great Performances at the Johanna Olson Invitational

The Verndale Cross Country team participated in the Johanna Olson Invitational held at the Whitetail Run Golf course in Wadena on Tuesday September 8th.  It was a challenging day for the team, with temperatures in the 80s and humidity that made running more difficult.  The team rallied and finished strong.  

  New for the team, we also had four elementary students who are participating in the Pirate Running Crew who ran in the fun run to start the meet.  Joining us for the run were Burklee B., Chase L., Lexi M., and Sterling D. They did a great job!  The Pirate Running Crew is open for students in grades 4-6.  They practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30.  The crew will have an opportunity to run at the following meets: Pillager 9/24, Bertha-Hewitt 9/29, Pelican Rapids 10/01, Otter Tail Central 10/08, and Ashby Brandon Evansville 10/13...
