Bears take on Sebeka but fall 46-62

This past week the Bertha-Hewitt Bears took on two Park Region foes in the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines and the Sebeka Trojans. The Bears dropped both contests.

On Monday the Bears were given the chance to participate in a fundraiser night for a Wadena-Deer Creek senior’s family. The festivities around the game were great to see, as two communities came together to help a family in need. At last count, the fans from the game raised 13k dollars.

The game between the Bears and Wolverines started Seniors Miranda Line and Hailey Hudalla finding Carissa Winscher for a couple of Free Throw line jump shots. Both teams came out in an aggressive half-court defense and focused on getting hands in the passing lanes. . .
