Bears top the Tigers

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears opened their season this past week taking on the Parkers Prairie Panthers and the Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers. The Bears fell to the Panthers 40 – 37 and topped the Tigers 47 – 42.

The Bears started their season in Parkers Prairie playing an aggressive Panthers team.

The Bears got the first basket of the season on a put back by Senior Forward Carissa Winscher. After that, the Bears got a little over aggressive and gave up a few baskets for the Panthers to be down 14 – 9 midway through the first half....
