Battle Lake 93, Bertha-Hewitt 78

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears fell to Battle Lake 93–78 on February 24 in a fast-paced non-conference boys basketball matchup, led by a standout performance from Brady Rach.

Rach scored a game-high 39 points on 12-of-26 shooting, adding four steals and seven rebounds to anchor the Bears’ effort. Trenton Becker contributed 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with five rebounds and two steals, while Henry Lockwood added 10 points, four rebounds, and one block. Quintin Flynn chipped in eight points and six rebounds, hitting all four of his free throws, and Rowan Hauer added six points with five rebounds. Logan Nelson finished with two points and one rebound, while Garrett Becker recorded one rebound and scored no points.

The Bears had success at the free-throw line, with Rach going 14-of-19 (73.7%), Flynn 4-of-4, and Becker 3-of-4, helping keep the team competitive. From the field, Rach shot efficiently at 46.2%, and Becker connected on 45.5%, while Lockwood and Hauer also contributed scoring from inside the arc.

Rebounding was a team effort, with Rach grabbing seven boards, Flynn six, Lockwood four, and Hauer and Becker adding five each. Defensive contributions included four steals from Rach, two from Becker, one from Flynn, and one from Nelson, alongside a block from Lockwood.
