Broadband coalition faces obstacles in providing access

The Todd County Broadband Coalition (TCBC) had a special guest at their April 26 meeting. Benton County Commissioner Jared Gapinski attended the meeting to share how Benton County brought in broadband and ways Todd County could do the same.
The TCBC recently completed the survey process and the next step is to hire a consultant to do the feasibility study and talk with vendors.
Gapinski recommended their consultant who is Finley Engineering. This firm handled everything from the study to budgeting. He believes Todd County may need cellular options if they cannot get enough grant funding. Todd County would fall into a “low density” grant opportunity.
Todd County Coordinator Chris Pelzer shared that the county recommends three bids for consideration. . .
