Dreamer’s Legacy Ride aims to destigmatize mental health issues

Dreamer’s Legacy Ride is more than a memorial to the young life cut short of Dreamer Saltzman—hopefully, it will also increase awareness for suicide prevention and destigmatize mental health issues.

Saltzman was 19 when she ended her life on April 9. 

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day.

Dreamer’s Legacy Ride will be held on September 7.

Saltzman was raised by her grandparents, Terry and Mary Lynk. She attended Verndale and Wadena-Deer Creek schools and was involved in volleyball and track and field. Dreamer enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and four-wheeling, being in the company of her friends and family, and volunteering at church. She also had a massive love for animals and her dog, Pearl.
