Sunnybrook Auto held their grand opening on Saturday. Owner Dick Baso visited with customers under his colorful sign.

The Clarissa City Council held a special meeting on September 30 to offer the position of city clerk to Sue Cuchna. She accepted the offer. Cuchna is presently manager of the Heritage Apartments and is working at a print shop in St. Cloud. She will assume her new duties on October 20, and Millicent Godding will retire as clerk December 31.

Todd County farmers are encouraged to nominate candidates for Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation ASC community committeemen, reported Erna Koepke, County ASCS Executive Director. Petitions to be signed by a minimum of three qualified voters, must be filed by October 27, at the Todd County ASCS Office, 119 Central Avenue, Long Prairie.

Couldn’t believe it. Friday noon, as we stepped out on the street and something white was falling. First we looked around and then up and yes it was snow falling in large icy clumps!
