On Thursday, July 16, the gang from Sherri’s Daycare traveled to Brainerd and took in all the fun at the Paul Bunyan amusement park. The weather was great and all the kids had a wonderful time. Pictured in the back row are the adult helpers: Jacqueline Meiners holding son Skyler, Sandy Johnson, Renee Godding and Sherri Allen. Middle row: Maggie Allen, Megan Motl, Chance Johnson, Emily Thibodeau, Dillon Knight, Jayme Godding, Rachel Allen, Emily Schumacher. Front row: Derek Solid, Kelsey Benson, Holly Godding, Megan Thibodeau and Jesse Motl.
Megan, age 5, and Emily, age 3, are the daughters of Tom and Tammy Thibodeau and they are the namesakes for Clarissa’s newest business. The Variety Store opened recently on Main Street, across from Tibby’s Cafe. They are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8-2. They carry affordable toys, housewares, pet toys, school supplies and nickel candy.

Exactly one year later on this Monday, July 23, the Hayes lost their barn, silo, milkhouse, hay, straw and pigs in one of the largest fires in this area this year.
