25 Years Ago

October 21, 1998

Pictured are members of the Eagle Valley School Safety Patrol: Brian Yates (captain), Phillip Allen, Steven Winkler (captain), Trooper Dave, Megan Busch (captain), Kimberley Hauer and Jessie Host (captain). The captains attended Legionville School Patrol Training Camp in Brainerd in August.

The Eagle Valley Rebels football team traveled to Murdock to take on KMS in a conference game last Wednesday. KMS came out fast and scored three touchdowns in the first 14 minutes and were victorious with a score of 28-0. This was the sixth loss for the Rebels as they head into the playoffs.

50 Years Ago

October 18, 1973

The Clarissa Bucs downed Upsala 20-18 for their first conference win of the year. The Bucs jumped into an early lead when Dean Tiegland broke away from the tackle and raced 71 yards for a touchdown. The kick for the extra point failed.

Dr. Paul S. Etzell, son of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Etzell of Clarissa, has completed a four year fellowship in internal medicine and hematology at the Mayo Clinic at Rochester.
