Skylar and Stephen Whitaker received a hug from the Easter Bunny at the Central Todd County Care Center last Friday. The children were visiting residents and made decorations and helped color eggs.

The Eagle Valley Softball Team improved their record to 3-1 on the year with two road victories and a disappointing loss at home. The wins were won in the later innings and were exciting to play and watch. The Rebels scored six runs in the sixth inning against Verndale, to break a 10-10 tie and went on to win 16-13 over the Pirates. Adrianne Godding had the big two run double in the sixth inning.

Sandi Piepkorn, a graduate of the Clarissa High School and a senior at St. Cloud State College, appeared in the lead role in the “The Bartered Bride” opera at the St. Cloud recital hall on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights of last week.

On March 29, 1975, President Gerald Ford signed a Presidential Proclamation changing the procedures for registering for the draft. The new procedure will involve an annual registration conducted early in 1976. Men reaching age 18 in calendar year 1975 will be registered at that time.
