A special public hearing was held for the petitioned street improvement of Oak Avenue East located on the northeast edge of town. Several homeowners attended the hearing wanting to have the improvement done as soon as possible. Sue Cuchna had called Central Specialties from Alexandria because they had given the lowest bid when the bidding process was done. They changed the cul-de-sac size from 75 to 100 feet and the cost was estimated at $15,260. The council voted to have the job completed as soon as possible.
