Work has begun on the new senior center. The foundation has been laid and the walls will soon go up. But life goes on as usual in other respects. Regular meetings are held on Tuesday and Friday afternoons at the city hall with fellowship and coffee being served on Monday mornings.

The American Legion Post 213 rededicated the Harlan E. Schafer Park Memorial. Schafer, who died in WWII, was a brother of Mrs. Eldon Hirth. The plaque was refinished by Jim Line and the new tree was donated by Tab Mal Nursery of Long Prairie at the request of Mrs. Hirth. Pictured at the dedication were: John Romstad, Wayne Stuckmeyer, Gene Tepley, Jerry Schnettler, Gene Watts, Val Peterson, Dick Schnettler, Jim Line and Gene Lindquist.

October 30, 1975
Leo Hayes began his duties as rural mail carrier last week Saturday following the resignation of Arthur Baker, who has been sub-carrier on the rural route for 40 years.

The Clarissa Board of Education accepted the resignation of Ron Bowen, head custodian at the Clarissa School for the past seven years, at a special meeting held at the office of the superintendent last Tuesday evening.
