Shellie’s Hair Design in Clarissa has been in business since October of 1997. Shellie Hinzmann, now Drayna, graduated from Northwest Technical College in Wadena the last day of August in 1991 with a degree in cosmetology. Shortly after graduation, Shellie began working for Darlene Weibye who operated the Hair Cellar in Clarissa.

Superintendent Dale Svaren is shown presenting a check to Barry Sarff. Barry created the winning entry in an art contest for the Renaissance t-shirts. Barry’s artwork features the school’s mascot, the Rebel plus a bottle of Coke, a sponsor for the Renaissance program, and the EVHS lettering. Barry, the son of Dale and Susan Sarff, is a junior at Eagle Valley High School.

November 13, 1975
Six Clarissa Conference champs were named to the All-Conference Prairie Football team by the coaches of the conference for 1975. All six are seniors: Dennis Cuchna, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cuchna; Don Boseck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Boseck; Ron Bowen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Bowen; Dan Dixon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Dixon; Mark Sobotka, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sobotka; and Jim Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Thompson.

Robert Cuchna, manager of Agri Valley Farm Center, recently toured Cenex’s new Seed and Corn Plant at Cedar Falls, Iowa and the Star Agri Products Livestock Equipment Manufacturing plant at Red Oak, Iowa.
