25 Years Ago

December 27, 2000

If you’ve used the postal service in Clarissa within the last four and a half years, your needs would have been met by Chuck Tangeman of Verndale. He has announced he has taken a postmaster position in Menahga and will be leaving January 11. He has thoroughly enjoyed serving our small community and has treated his job as though “it’s his own business” and takes great pride in his work.

Two young cheerleaders attended Tuesday night’s game against the Royals. They were Deandra Lunemann and Katie Sparby cheering the Rebels to victory.

50 Years Ago

January 1, 1976

Bruce Jacobson and Debra Aspengren, seniors at the Clarissa High School, have both been selected for “Who’s Who Among Music Students in American High Schools.”

Everyone is invited to the New Year’s Wake at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clarissa on Wednesday evening from 9 to 12 p.m. Anyone may come and leave at any time.
