Following are the winners of the Lions International Peace poster contest. Checks were given out to the winners from the Eagle Bend and Clarissa Lions Clubs: Cassie Snyder, Samantha Zins, Candace Young, Kasha Gabler, Chantal Freynet, Aaron Johnson, Barry Lunemann, Jessica Host, Megan Taylor and Maria Pieper.

The Eagle Valley Boys Basketball team played two tough teams last week. On Tuesday, the boys traveled to Eden Valley-Watkins to take on the 3-1 Eagles. On Saturday afternoon, the 5-3 Battle Lake Battlers came to Clarissa for a make up game scheduled earlier in the season. In both games the Rebels came up short but showed marked improvement over some of their earlier games.

January 22, 1976
An estimated $2400 worth of vandalism was caused during a break-in at the Clarissa School, according to Superintendent Herbert Wolff. The vandalism occurred sometime between the hours of midnight and 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14.

The annual meeting of the Clarissa Manor, Inc., was called to order by President Harlan Dixon on Tuesday evening, January 13, at city hall. Mrs. Ken Helgeson presided at the piano as a large attendance sang the National Anthem, after which the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Pastor A.A. Hanson then gave an inspiring invocation.
