Carolyn Krenzelok began her new position as Navigator for the American Cancer Society last month in Clarissa. Navigator is an American Cancer Society initiative designed to help residents of Clarissa find the cancer services and resources they need through their cancer journey.

On Thursday, May 17, Marvin Prust received a certificate of continuous membership for being a Legion Member in good standing for 50 years. Pictured were: Jerome Schnettler, Dick Schnettler, Marvin Prust, Jim Line, Gene Watts and Post Commander John Romstad.

A fire of an undetermined origin destroyed six buildings, machinery and 13 head of livestock at the E. Alfred Meyer farm last Thursday, May 20. It was the largest farm fire in the history of this community with the old timers comparing its heat intensity to that of the old produce building which burned in 1956.

Mark Sobotka, a senior at the Clarissa High School, has been named to the All-Conference baseball team by the Prairie Conference coaches.
